Gifted with the rare ability to see supernatural beings, Ichinomiya Kantarou spent his youth isolated and bullied by those who could not understand his sight. Rather than fearing the unseen, however, he formed a deep bond with the spirits, ultimately pursuing a career as both a folklore writer and a freelance demon-buster. Driven by tales of supreme power, Kantarou becomes obsessed with finding the legendary ogre-eating Tengu, vowing to name his elusive discovery "Haruka."
