94: From Technological Warfare to Space Empire

Beijing’s real estate market had not yet skyrocketed, and Pudong’s iconic skyline remained unfinished. Yet, rather than simply leveraging his foresight for personal wealth and comfort, Lin Yu felt compelled to pursue a far greater mission. He resolved to accelerate the BeiDou navigation system by thirty years and construct an independent satellite constellation to rival Starlink. Above all, he vowed that during the aerial anomalies over the South China Sea in October 1994 and the crisis two years later, Donghuang would never again be vulnerable due to reliance on foreign GPS technology.
