LAPD Gunslinger: American Iaijutsu

Matthew has just arrived in Los Angeles after transmigrating into a parallel version of America, fully prepared to draw his weapon. Formerly an undercover narcotics officer who died in the line of duty, he has been reborn as an LAPD probationary patrol officer in 2003 and bound to the Punisher System. He is determined to bring a shocking dose of justice to this land of freedom, reminding the people of Los Angeles of the dashing spirit of Old West gunslingers. With his patrol lights flashing, he remains effortlessly calm, adopting a ruthless philosophy where boldness earns him perpetual leave and criminals face two rounds to the chest and one to the head—a fate that would make even Jesus shake his head. When asked if he ever doubts being a bad man, Matthew answers without hesitation: he never doubts it, because this city needs men like him to keep the true scum at bay. He advises the guilty to pray to God for mercy, as his only role is to deliver their release.
