Haruma Kawagoe is an only child with a deep-seated desire for a sibling. This longing stems from a poignant childhood memory, when an unborn sister was lost at Christmas time due to his mother's miscarriage. In a heartfelt moment of prayer, young Haruma made a fervent wish for the health of his mother and the gift of a little sister. Years went by, and the prayer was nearly forgotten. However, Santa Claus, it seems, takes such wishes seriously. On a Christmas morning, Haruma receives an unexpected gift – his long-lost sister, now a lively and lovable young girl named Choko.
