Apocalypse: Nine Choices, Five Picks—I Choose the Demon Hand First

When doomsday descends, every player begins the game by choosing two items from a pool of five before being dropped into the same overrun zone. Xu Yu alone can pick five from nine: a revolver, medicine, the Demon Hand, a prophecy phone, and skill chips. Three extra items give him an information edge over everyone else—and a fatal weakness they don't have. The Demon Hand devours life force in exchange for power; if its host goes three days without food, it turns on him and consumes him instead. Meanwhile, corpse poison is creeping up Xu Yu's left arm, and the countdown to the zombie tide is accelerating. Backstabbing veteran players, cutthroat airdrop battles, and relentless hunts by level-three mutant monsters all stand between him and survival. Xu Yu must outlast every other player in this survival game. His three extra pieces of equipment are his trump cards—and precisely why every veteran has him in their sights. In ten days, the zombie tide will erupt across the entire region, unleashing a flood of level-three and higher mutants. Xu Yu has only two paths forward: cut through every obstacle before the countdown reaches zero, or be swallowed whole by this world.
