Magical Girls Won't Be Arrested

Once, magical girls protected humanity with their shining forms. Today, their names sit on wanted lists. Humanity no longer thanks its magical girls. A new Administration Bureau has seized control of all magical affairs, and miracles and magic no longer belong to this era. Fu Lan is a middle-aged man whose career has gone nowhere and whose marriage is beyond saving. Worse still, he has just been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy—at any point in the coming years, his heart could simply fail and take his life. He asks for nothing more from this world than to leave his family a proper inheritance, but on a monthly salary of 3,000 yuan, that wish is impossible to fulfill. Then, through a stroke of chance, he learns that magic might earn him an illegal yet considerable income. Should he take up the identity he abandoned years ago? Doing so would mean becoming a public enemy all over again. Yesterday's guardian, today's criminal; a failed husband, a dying father... Standing at the crossroads of his life, he must make his choice. But no matter what happens, one thing matters above all—magical girls won't be arrested!
