I'm Just a Background Extra, So How Did I Become a Criminal Hunter?

On a film set, struggling extra Lin Qi is auditioning for the role of a deranged serial killer. Determined to nail the part, he has rehearsed every gruesome detail eight hundred times inside his system space. But his performance is a little too convincing—his chilling gaze catches the attention of a police captain visiting the set, who immediately slaps him in cuffs. "Hands on your head! You're connected to three homicides!" Shackled to a radiator pipe, Lin Qi lets out a helpless sigh. "Officer, I'm just an extra. If you want the real killer, head to the prop room on the left. That prop master not only stole from the production—he's also got a murder from three years ago in another city." Ten minutes later, the true culprit is arrested. The police captain stares at Lin Qi as if he's seen a ghost. "Who exactly are you?" Rubbing his reddened wrists, Lin Qi answers with complete sincerity: "I told you—I'm just an extra trying to win a Best Actor award." From that day on, the police can't stop trying to recruit him. "Lin Qi, with a mind like yours, it's a waste not to join the force." To which he always replies, "Officer, I've said it before—my only dream is to win that trophy."
