Two Heretical Heroes

Within the Gansu Xie Clan, Ci Yunye is known as a servant who refuses to behave—an unruly trickster whose sharp, clever mind more than makes up for his lack of decorum. Yet even he bows before one person: Xie Xiufan, the clan's eldest son. Despite their clashing personalities, Yunye holds a mixture of respect and fear for the young master that no one else in the household can claim. Their bond is put to the ultimate test when the clan head's new wife begins weaving a treacherous plot to seize control of the household, no matter who suffers along the way. As her schemes grow bolder and threaten the people they hold dear, servant and young master cast their differences aside and set out together in pursuit of power and vengeance against her. But the road they choose leads them far from the orthodox teachings of martial arts. Branded practitioners of the Heretical Path, their arts are condemned as evil and demonic by the very world that wronged them. Yunye and Xiufan pay such labels no mind—armed with forbidden strength, these two heretics intend to deliver justice all the same.
