Yakedo Shoujo

To all outward appearances, Shiina Hinami is the heart of her class—a high school girl whose infectious cheerfulness and ready smile draw people toward her like moths to a flame. Yet there is an undeniable peculiarity to her brightness: a black eyepatch perpetually conceals her left eye, a quiet physical anomaly that her peers have long since stopped questioning. They accept her as she is, enamored by the effortless warmth she radiates, never suspecting that the girl they adore leads a double life shrouded in silence and secrecy. That carefully constructed facade begins to crack when her classmate, Kaname Aizawa, stumbles upon a worn notebook hidden among her belongings. Titled simply "Mind Note," its pages are not filled with idle diary entries or schoolyard gossip, but with something far more unsettling—a meticulous chronicle that lays bare the stark, chilling truths Shiina observes about the people around her. As Kaname reads deeper, the grim weight of her words settles over him, transforming innocent curiosity into dread. He is left to grapple with a horrifying revelation: the cheerful girl he thought he knew is not only attuned to the darkest corners of human nature, but may be far more entangled in them than anyone could have imagined.
