Shinobigoto

In present-day Japan, the ancient traditions of the ninja endure, their practitioners lurking unseen within the bustling fabric of modern society. Young shinobi Yodaka, still honing his craft, is handed a mission of paramount importance: to serve as the unyielding protector of a seemingly ordinary high school girl named Aoi. Charged with safeguarding her at any cost, Yodaka steps out of the shadows and into the glaring fluorescent lights of civilian academia. Yet the halls of high school prove to be a battlefield unlike any he has trained for. Caught between the stealthy demands of his clandestine duty and the chaotic, social rituals of adolescent life, Yodaka must navigate cliques, classrooms, and daily routines while remaining ever-vigilant against unknown threats. As he struggles to balance his covert ops with the absurdity of homework and lunch breaks, the young ninja soon discovers that surviving the modern world may be his greatest challenge yet—and that protecting Aoi means confronting dangers far more unpredictable than any enemy from the old scrolls.
