1978: The Literary Giant Who Started with Enlistment

Reborn into a rural village in 1978, Zhou Xu just turned eighteen and is about to become a soldier. The conscription notice in his hand says he must report in half a month—but that wasn't his plan. He dreamed of making waves in business, diving into the entertainment world to win over the era's most beautiful actresses, or at least retaking the college entrance exam. Yet fate has drafted him into the army. Then his eyes land on the submission column of a newspaper, and a spark ignites. If he can't be a tycoon, why not join the military's art troupe? Before long, Zhou Xu isn't just writing scripts and novels—he's also reporting from the front lines, turning himself into a battle-hardened soldier and creator of beloved works. At the ceremony honoring him as a top‑level military writer, he stands proud and declares, "It is my honor to have contributed to the army's propaganda efforts."
