Omoi-san’s Overwhelming Obsession centers on Karuizawa Ryo, an ordinary third-year middle school student, and his crush on Omoi Miton—a cute, intelligent, and popular girl. When Karuizawa learns that Omoi plans to attend an all-girls high school, he gathers his courage and confesses his feelings. To his astonishment, she accepts and agrees to date him. Yet almost immediately, he is left wondering what comes next. Omoi, however, has already mapped out their future. She intends to transfer to his high school, marry him in two years, and impose a strict set of rules on their relationship. As Karuizawa discovers the extent of her plans, he begins to understand the truth about Omoi: she is a girl consumed by an overwhelming obsession with romance and relationships. Despite his growing unease, their dating life begins, and his high school years take on a completely different color.
