Official Details
At the office, Sugita seems to have it all—a promising newcomer blessed with good looks, real talent, and an easy rapport with nearly every colleague around him. The one exception is Yumihara, the petite assistant manager who singles him out with an unrelenting strictness no one else receives. Under her watchful, severe gaze, Sugita can hardly imagine ever getting along with her. That impression is turned on its head one ordinary lunch break, when Sugita stumbles upon a small, tucked-away coffee shop called "Dead Copy." The quirky café offers an unusual attraction: special tables set up for playing retro games. Even more startling is the sight that greets him inside—none other than Yumihara, completely absorbed in her game with the unguarded joy of a child, a side of her worlds apart from the stern front she shows at the office. What unfolds is a warm, everyday story of two coworkers whose paths keep crossing at this hidden arcade café. Visit after visit and game after game, the walls between them gradually come down, and through their small shared moments, an unexpected relationship slowly begins to take shape.
