The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic

On a rain-soaked afternoon, ordinary high schooler Usato finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. After bumping into two classmates, the trio is suddenly swallowed by a mysterious magic circle and whisked away to a fantastical realm. But while his companions are hailed as the kingdom's prophesied heroes, Usato discovers he was nothing more than an accidental passenger—a glitch in the summoning spell. To make matters stranger, he possesses an exceedingly rare affinity for healing magic, a power that should make him invaluable. Yet there is no gentle sanctuary waiting for him. Usato is thrust into the company of the kingdom's brutal rescue squad, a band of roughneck healers who have perfected a twisted philosophy: to mend others, one must first endure agony. Their training is a gauntlet of physical punishment and unorthodox drills that push him beyond every limit, teaching him that healing isn't just about closing wounds—it's about surviving the fire that creates them. As he navigates this backwards curriculum, Usato must learn to master his gift through suffering, all while balancing life-or-death combat with the squad's eccentric brand of humor. Blending slapstick comedy with high-stakes adventure, this is a one-of-a-kind isekai tale where the path to salvation is paved with pain, and the wrong way to heal might just be the only way to survive.
