Official Details
Utsumi Shinichi, a renowned 31-year-old author, has lost his inspiration and retreated to his grandmother's countryside home, abandoning his once vibrant life. His world is turned upside down when 10-year-old Haruka suddenly appears, seeking permission to care for a stray cat in his garden. As they spend more time together, Shinichi finds himself drawn to Haruka's quiet strength and introverted nature, reminiscent of his own tragic childhood. Haruka's isolated upbringing, with a father often away and a mother in the hospital, tugs at Shinichi's heartstrings, and he begins to see her as a kindred spirit. Despite his initial reluctance, Shinichi's editor urges him to use Haruka as inspiration for his next romance novel, and an unlikely friendship blossoms between them. As they navigate their complicated relationship, Shinichi and Haruka must confront the demons of their past and the uncertain future that lies ahead.
