Surrounded by Oddballs

Li Ping'an's undercover assignment seems almost too easy. The crime boss suffers from severe paranoia, the gang lieutenant is a simple-minded fool who never suspects anyone, and the rank-and-file thugs lack even basic common sense. Wiping out this criminal syndicate feels like a straightforward job. That is, until a furious female officer from the municipal bureau storms over and dumps a crate of soap at his feet. "Li Ping'an, I've had enough of you," she snaps. "Collect your own welfare supplies—why should I be your storage keeper?" In that moment, he realizes with dread that his own teammates are hardly any better.
