The Game King of the Slums

"I will become the number one in the world—women are nothing but a hindrance!" —So declared the legendary duelist Jack Atlas. But when hardcore card player Amano Tetsuya finds himself reborn into a dueling world completely unlike the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime he knows, his dreams of glory hit a brutal wall. While other protagonists get the Duel King System on arrival, he picks up a bizarre Affection Level System that seems utterly useless for a duelist. Living in the bottom-tier slums of a world reminiscent of 5DS's Satellite District, armed with nothing but a trash-tier vanilla monster deck, and saddled with a system that has nothing to do with card battles—is there any hope left for his future? 【Affection 70: Obtain one card from the target's deck.】 【Affection 80: Unlock "Backseat Spirit" mode—become the target's ghost duelist proxy.】 【Affection 90: Unlock "Fusion Mode"—fuse with the target to duel together.】 System, I can understand printing cards and spirit proxies... but what the heck is "fusion dueling"?! Oh, so it's the Zexal Morph mode! This is an original Yu-Gi-Oh! worldview—soul-fueled dueling, no convoluted combo recitations.
