The Tyrant's Guardian Is an Evil Witch

When a small boy appears at her doorstep one day, the witch Clete instantly recognizes the grave danger standing before her. The child is Alpen, the emperor's illegitimate son—and the very boy fated to take her life in the future. Yet Clete is not one to bow to destiny. A witch of considerable power, she resolves to raise him herself, hoping that genuine warmth and kindness will guide him down a different path in life this time around. There is only one problem: she has absolutely no idea how to raise a human child. With the help of her loyal butler, Clete begins with the fundamentals—reading him storybooks, playing house, and even helping him make his very first friend. Little by little, an extraordinary bond blossoms between the unlikely pair, one she never believed possible. But fate refuses to bend so easily. As dark forces begin to meddle, keeping young Alpen from succumbing to evil becomes an increasingly difficult struggle. Will Clete's powers prove strong enough to rewrite the future? Or is she doomed to meet a tragic end at the hands of the very child she raised?
