Sora no Method

A full seven years have passed since a cryptic, disk-like saucer materialized without explanation above the still waters of Kiriya Lake. In the immediate aftermath, fear and bewilderment gripped the local populace; no one could discern the object's true nature or origin, and its silent, unmoving presence fueled anxious speculation. Yet, as time marched on without any discernible threat, the initial terror gradually faded. The saucer became a peculiar tourist attraction, drawing curious visitors before the world's attention inevitably drifted elsewhere, leaving the enigmatic craft to hang forgotten in the sky—a permanent, silent fixture of the town's horizon. Now, former resident Nonoka Komiya returns to her childhood home after spending those same seven years living in Tokyo. Her recollections of her time in the small town are vague and fragmented, worn thin by distance and the passage of years. However, her homecoming takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a sprightly, effervescent girl named Noel. Through their meeting, buried fragments of the past begin to surface, gradually drawing Nonoka back to a pivotal memory: a day spent in an old, creaking observatory, where she and four childhood friends once voiced their deepest wishes. As those long-forgotten promises begin to stir, so too do the lingering emotions and unresolved bonds attached to them. This series is currently on hiatus.
