Totsuko possesses an extraordinary gift: she can perceive people as living auras, each emotion and temperament radiating in vivid, distinct hues. Though Totsuko has never played an instrument, her world begins to harmonize when she finds herself drawn into an unlikely partnership with Kimi and Rui, a quiet, bookish soul they encounter in the dusty aisles of a remote used bookstore. Together, the trio decides to form a band, despite their disparate backgrounds and Totsuko’s complete inexperience with music. Their rehearsals take place in an abandoned church on a solitary island, a space steeped in echoes and solitude that becomes their own sanctuary.
