Onward! Heian Club

For first-year student Shiori Makihara, the entrance ceremony at Prefectural Sugawara High School marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her life. Yet before the excitement of her first day can even settle, she finds herself approached by Hirao Aika, a girl placed in the very same class. With unmistakable enthusiasm, Aika extends an invitation: won't Shiori consider joining the so-called "Heian Club"? The offer raises far more questions than it answers. What exactly is the Heian Club, and what could its members possibly be up to? Nothing about its curious name reveals its purpose—whether the club is devoted to history, tradition, or something stranger altogether, no one can say. Still, Aika's eagerness and the club's odd charm leave Shiori intrigued rather than dismissive. What unfolds is a lighthearted school-life story built around one simple, irresistible mystery: a fresh-faced new student, a peculiar recruitment pitch, and a club whose true nature defies easy explanation. As Shiori weighs whether to take the plunge, readers are invited to wonder right along with her—just what on earth does this club actually do?
