Fifteen-year-old Mochizuki Touya’s life ends abruptly when a freak lightning strike blasts him into oblivion. Instead of oblivion, however, he awakens to find himself standing before God, who sheepishly admits to having made an unfortunate mistake. Fortunately, the divine being offers Touya a second chance: reincarnation into a fantasy world, with the added bonus of keeping his smartphone by his side. Thus begins Touya’s journey through a charmingly anachronistic pseudo-medieval realm, where he encounters new friends, shares in laughter and tears, and stumbles upon more than a few inexplicable deus ex machina moments. With no fixed destination in mind, he wanders from place to place, pursuing whichever whim catches his interest along the way.
