The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity

In a certain town, two rival schools stand in perpetual conflict: Chidori High, a boys' institution attended largely by underprivileged students with poor academic records, and its neighbor, Kikyo Girls' High, which enrolls mostly young women from wealthy, illustrious families. One day, Rintaro Tsumugi—a second-year at Chidori who possesses a fearsome appearance yet a gentle heart—is helping out at his family's patisserie when he meets a female customer named Kaoruko Waguri. Rintaro treasures these moments with Kaoruko, as she never judges him by his looks. However, his brief peace shatters when he learns that Kaoruko is actually a student at Kikyo. This discovery marks the start of their arduous journey, as the two struggle against the barriers imposed by their schools and surroundings, determined to carve out a path of their own.
