After God

Japan has fallen under the shadow of invading gods, and the transformation of its landscape tells the story of humanity's devastating loss. Where thriving cityscapes once stood, vast Danger Zones now sprawl across the nation—sealed-off territories ruled by divine presences, forever cut off from the remnants of human civilization surviving beyond their boundaries. Tokinaga, a researcher dedicated to the fight against these godly invaders, is patrolling the perimeter of one such zone when he stumbles upon an unexpected sight. A young girl named Kamikura Waka stands at the protective fence, gazing wistfully into the forbidden expanse beyond the barrier. When Tokinaga meets her eyes, he perceives something dwelling deep within her—something dangerous, and unlike anything he has ever encountered before. It is a hidden quality that carries the potential to change the world itself. In this singular encounter at the edge of god-claimed territory, the paths of a determined researcher and an enigmatic girl converge, setting in motion a story that may alter the fate of everything.
