Tsuruko Returns the Favor

Tsuruko Returns the Favor follows Nekokado, a high school teacher of rigid principles who has lived alone since his sister's death. His quiet, orderly life is disrupted when he discovers a photograph of her wearing a maid costume—a startling clue to a side of her he never knew. Determined to uncover the secret behind the image, he visits a concept café to investigate. There, Nekokado meets a girl named Tsuruko. The encounter pulls the reserved teacher into unfamiliar territory and leaves him facing questions about his sister's hidden life. Though he set out simply to understand the past, his meeting with Tsuruko marks the beginning of a mystery that challenges his strict outlook and draws him away from the solitary routine he has known. As Nekokado pursues the truth, he must navigate a world far removed from his disciplined daily life while grappling with the memory of the sister he thought he understood. It all begins with a single photograph, a visit to a concept café, and an unexpected encounter with Tsuruko.
