Kemono no You ni Ueteiru

Aida once made himself a bold promise: he would bring the funk music he loved into the mainstream. But the years slipped quietly by, and that youthful resolution dissolved into the humdrum of an unremarkable career. Now he moves through his days in a rut, and with each one that passes, the suffocating sensation of being trapped torments him anew. The dream he shelved never truly let him go; it lingers beneath the surface of his routine, a quiet ache that refuses to be silenced. Then, out of the blue, a former bandmate reaches out with an invitation. When Aida takes up his bass guitar for the first time in a long while, the familiar weight in his hands stirs something deep within him. As the sound rises around him, his heart trembles in time with the music—awakened, at last, by the passion he thought he had left behind.
