Takakura is a devoted occult enthusiast who devours every fringe theory about extraterrestrial life, yet he stubbornly denies the existence of spirits. Ayase, by contrast, holds an unwavering faith in the spectral realm but dismisses any notion of visitors from beyond the stars. Their opposing worldviews make for an uneasy dynamic, but when the unnatural intrusively collides with their mundane routines, both are forced to question the very foundations of their beliefs. Thrust into a maelstrom of ghostly apparitions, grotesque monsters, and alien intruders, the duo must set aside their intellectual pride simply to stay alive. Each harrowing encounter pushes them beyond their physical and emotional limits, testing their ability to trust one another amid relentless chaos. Yet, woven through the frantic battles and creeping dread is an awkward, budding adolescent romance—tender, comedic, and perpetually overshadowed by the sheer absurdity of their circumstances. Bursting with breakneck action, irreverent humor, and surprising emotional depth, this sprawling narrative defies easy categorization. As Takakura and Ayase struggle through a reality overflowing with the impossible, they come to realize that the most daunting challenge is not facing otherworldly foes, but truly understanding each other.
