No Gyaru in This Class

Mirei has always walked the straight and narrow path—a model honor student with impeccable grades and an unblemished record. Yet behind her composed facade lies a secret dream: to trade her subdued uniform for the dazzling, unapologetic flair of a *gyaru*. Inspired by the vibrant heroines of her favorite manga, she decides that high school will be her canvas for reinvention. With a mixture of nervous resolve and giddy anticipation, she crafts a bold new look, hoping to shed her old identity and step into a life full of color and confidence. Her first day as a transformed young woman, however, does not unfold as planned. Instead of being welcomed into the glittering circles she envisioned, she collides—quite literally—with Yushin, a scruffy, sharp-tongued boy whose rough demeanor seems to belong to an entirely different world. He is everything she is trying to leave behind: unpolished, blunt, and utterly uninterested in appearances. To her utter bewilderment, their awkward, clash-filled encounters spark an unexpected rapport, and the two find themselves drawn into a strange, comedic rhythm that defies all her expectations. Set against the backdrop of classroom hijinks and adolescent awkwardness, *No Gyaru in This Class* delivers the signature humor of Shigure Tokita, the creator of *Don't Blush, Sekime-san!*. What begins as a simple makeover spirals into a delightful mess of misunderstandings, unlikely chemistry, and the messy, wonderful chaos of finding connection where you least expect it.
