The Great Ming Hero

Set during the Wanli era, a time of apparent peace and stability across the empire, the story follows Liu Jin, a man from the rural countryside of western Henan. Possessing the curiosity, arrogance, and stubborn persistence of a modern soul transported into this historical period, Liu Jin harbors ambitions that defy the tranquil surface of his surroundings. As suggested by the anonymous Ming-era quote, "Liu Jin of Anping delights in chaos and revels in disaster," his journey is defined by a provocative nature that challenges the status quo, turning a quiet life into one marked by turbulence and bold ambition.
