Boku wa Ano Yoru Ano Ko to

Fresh off a bruising heartbreak, Nao Michigami finds himself adrift at the afterparty of a friend’s wedding. Surrounded by laughter and clinking glasses, he drowns his sorrows a little too recklessly, and the night dissolves into a blur of champagne and cigarette smoke. When he next opens his eyes, it is to the garish neon glow of a love hotel ceiling—fully clothed but utterly disoriented, with no memory of how he got there or who brought him. Panic sets in as fragments of the evening refuse to surface. The only way to piece together the missing hours is to retrace his steps through the guests he encountered that night—a procession of women whose faces flicker at the edge of his recollection. One by one, he arranges meetings with each of them, hoping that a casual conversation will unlock the truth about the mysterious companion who shared that hotel room. But as he circles through their conflicting stories and teasing half-answers, Nao realizes that the answer he seeks is more elusive—and more complicated—than a simple one-night stand. What began as a desperate hunt for a forgotten face slowly becomes a mirror reflecting his own unresolved feelings, forcing him to confront not only what happened that night, but what he truly wants from love itself.
