The Accidental Pirate King

A naive young man stumbles into the ranks of the Jinyiwei, the Ming Dynasty’s elite secret police, through a series of fortunate mishaps. Tasked with infiltrating a notorious pirate consortium, he operates as an undercover agent to aid the Imperial Navy in its campaign against the Wokou raiders plaguing the coast. However, his mission takes an unexpected turn as his influence within the criminal underworld grows uncontrollably. Instead of merely dismantling the organization from within, he inadvertently rises to become the Pirate King, navigating the precarious balance between his duty to the empire and his new-found authority over the seas.
