The Paladin's Quest Log

Make a vow, earn a reward. Make another, earn even more. Chaos-born monsters ravage the villages while the gods cast their fateful dice. Old oaths whisper at the edge of memory as adventurers draw their blades. Bran, a paladin bound by the Oath of Devotion, declares: "I will draw my sword for the weak, drive out evil, save the innocent, remain loyal and selfless, uphold honesty and trust, and show compassion to all living beings." In return, his oath grants him spells like Divine Rebuke, Sanctuary, and Dispel Unclean, along with divine blessings—so long as he adheres to his tenets of mercy and truth. His companions look to him for leadership, ready to accept the next quest. Then Bran adds: "I swear to use only Divine Smite, in every situation without exception." His new self-imposed oath forbids him from casting any other spell, but empowers his Divine Smite with an additional 4d10 radiant damage. His party can only wonder at his choice. Armed with a quest log that rewards completion and a vow system that grants boons for unwavering adherence, this lawful good paladin embarks on a tabletop adventure shaped by 5E rules—where every promise is a double-edged sword, and every mission tests the line between devotion and folly.
