Crocodile Baron

Meet Alfardo J. Donson—a novelist by profession, a crocodile by nature, and a gentleman of exacting standards. Accompanied by his loyal companion, Rabbit Boy, he embarks on a series of refined culinary expeditions across Japan. Their travels are less about simple sightseeing and more about the pursuit of gastronomic perfection: they pause in Kagawa to sample the region's famed Sanuki udon, then venture to the rugged Sanriku Coast, where they feast on fresh oysters pulled from modest seaside shacks. Each destination is chosen with care, and every meal becomes an occasion for quiet appreciation. Yet the journey offers more than just extraordinary food. Along the winding roads and at bustling market stalls, Alfardo and Rabbit Boy regularly cross paths with a menagerie of remarkable animal denizens, each with their own quirks and tales. These chance encounters—whether with fellow gourmands or curious locals—add unexpected layers to their odyssey, transforming a simple culinary tour into a tapestry of friendship, discovery, and the gentle rhythms of Japanese hospitality. Through it all, the crocodile novelist and his rabbit friend remain devoted to their gentlemanly creed: that the finest flavors are best savored in good company.
