What’s Wrong with Superman’s Son Wanting to Be a Hero?

Transmigration is often seen as a blessing, but surviving in the dangerous world of American comics is no small feat. Ian finds himself adopted by Clark Kent, better known as Superman, which should theoretically provide him with the ultimate safety net. However, a glance at his system panel reveals a chilling detail: his identity is marked as an "NPC." In narrative terms, this suggests he is merely a plot device destined for sacrifice to motivate the main characters, leaving him in constant peril. To survive, Ian relies on a unique ability to awaken and advance through various classes, though the requirements for promotion are bizarre and unconventional. His attempts to explain his actions often lead to misunderstandings with his powerful family. Whether it is consuming Doomsday or kidnapping Supergirl, Ian struggles to justify his complex methods to his adoptive father. Despite the tension and Superman’s intimidating glare, Ian manages to navigate these chaotic family dynamics with a mix of cunning and nonchalance, proving that being the Man of Steel’s son is anything but ordinary.
