Perman

An ordinary elementary school student named Mitsuo Suwa has his life changed when he encounters an alien in a vacant lot. The extraterrestrial selects him to become the champion of justice known as Perman No. 1. Alongside his unusual team—a chimpanzee designated No. 2, the fiercely independent and mysterious No. 3, and the dependable No. 4 from Osaka—he dedicates himself to protecting the innocent and combating evil. The series was a major sensation during the late 1960s, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday as well as in educational magazines tailored to various grade levels. It later saw a revival in the 1980s with an updated setting. This comprehensive edition collects every installment, featuring early chapters that were never included in the original compiled volumes, the story arcs introducing Perman No. 5, and an array of supplementary material such as magazine promotional spreads and bonus content originally printed on the back covers of the tankōbon.
