Dead Tube

Behind the mundane facade of everyday school life, a sinister and clandestine video-sharing network known as Dead Tube preys upon unsuspecting students. What begins as an underground platform for distributing shockingly visceral content soon reveals itself as a merciless game where the participants' very existences are wagered. Ordinary high schoolers are thrust into this harrowing arena, forced to film themselves undertaking increasingly dangerous and depraved challenges in exchange for viewership and notoriety. Yet, the true horror lies in the stakes: failure to generate enough attention, or losing a match against a rival, can result in gruesome, fatal consequences delivered by the unseen administrators who pull the strings. For the protagonist, Tomohiro Machida, a quiet film club member with a taste for the macabre, the game becomes an inescapable vortex of dread. Alongside the enigmatic and unpredictable Mai Kiryu, he finds himself dragged from passive observer to active participant, where every uploaded clip is a roll of the dice with death. The chilling thrill of viral fame clashes brutally with the primal instinct for survival as alliances fracture and betrayals bloom under the relentless pressure. In this nightmare, the camera never lies, but it also never stops rolling, capturing every desperate scream and every final, fatal moment as the students play out a high-stakes contest where the only way to win is to outlast the opposition—or become the next headline of their own grisly broadcast.
