Oil On Canvas

For an art restorer, Dojin’s life is one of meticulous precision and quiet contemplation—a world of careful strokes and faded pigments. That carefully constructed calm shatters spectacularly during the vibrant chaos of a Carnevale party, where a mortifying encounter with the charming and infuriating auctioneer, Luca Orsini, leaves him reeling. What begins as a humiliating social misstep, however, quickly transforms into an entirely unexpected professional proposition. Dojin finds himself reluctantly drawn into a new restoration project under Luca’s enigmatic supervision, one that promises to be far more complex than any canvas he has ever handled. As he delves deeper into the layers of paint and varnish, Dojin uncovers a labyrinth of secrets that others have gone to great lengths to conceal. Hidden motives and veiled agendas lurk behind every gilded frame, turning the restoration into a treacherous game of deception where nothing is as it first appears. Torn between his duty as a restorer and his growing suspicion of Luca's true intentions, Dojin becomes ensnared in a web of intrigue that threatens to consume him. Despite his better judgment, a magnetic, unspoken connection with the enigmatic auctioneer continues to pull him back, blurring the lines between professional obligation and a dangerous, forbidden desire. As the truth slowly emerges from the shadows of the past, Dojin must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice for a masterpiece that may hold the key to his own destruction.
