Summary

Raw Details
After transmigrating into a new world, Lu Yan is invited to become a top commentator for the "Heavens' Sharp Review" platform. His task is to rank and critically evaluate the emperors of the Ming Dynasty, from the most formidable to the most incompetent. As a history-focused content creator, Lu Yan accepts the challenge with enthusiasm, unaware of a crucial twist: the historical figures he is critiquing are his live audience. The session begins with Hongwu Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, who proudly cites his rise from a beggar with a single bowl to the founder of an empire. He demands an explanation for Lu Yan’s assessment that while his military and political achievements were outstanding, his economic policies were disastrous. Next, the Yongle Emperor Zhu Di challenges his ranking, boasting about his campaigns in the Mongolian steppes and the voyages of Zheng He that surpassed the Han and Tang Dynasties. He is outraged by being labeled merely as the "Northern Expedition General" for his son, the Renzong Emperor, and questions the legitimacy of his posthumous title, Chengzu. Even the infamous Zhu Qizhen joins the debate, defending his capture at Tumu Fortress as a unique historical event and arguing against the label of "incompetent warmonger." As Lu Yan exposes the eccentricities and failures of various Ming emperors, Zhu Yuanzhang becomes increasingly furious. He berates Zhu Di for raising such disappointing descendants, leading to chaotic exchanges where Zhu Di begs for respect in return for acknowledging his father. The situation escalates further when Lu Yan shifts his focus to debunking Ming Dynasty conspiracy theories and unofficial histories, causing the entire Zhu imperial family to suffer complete emotional breakdowns.
