Twins Hikaru and Youta make for an unusual duo. Youta is the domestic type, finding joy in cooking and tending to his family's needs, whereas Hikaru is a somber girl whose behavior often unsettles those closest to her. Their days follow a familiar rhythm: Youta prepares meals and fusses over his sister, while Hikaru remains perpetually attached to his side. Everything changes on their shared birthday, however, when Youta discovers they are not related by blood. As he rushes after her in the aftermath of the revelation, the two are struck by a car. Upon regaining consciousness, they realize that their lives have taken a wholly unforeseen detour.
