Sakurako Kawawa's high school life begins with a fresh start: a room in a boarding house, a new chapter stretching ahead of her, and the thrill of anticipating her very first meeting with the roommate she will share it all with. Waiting expectantly, she can hardly contain her curiosity about the stranger destined to live beside her under one roof. The answer arrives in the form of Kasumi Yamabuki, a girl whose breathtaking beauty makes an instant impression. Yet for all her stunning looks, Kasumi lives entirely on her own terms, drifting through everyday life with a carefree, scatterbrained ease that no amount of preparation could have readied Sakurako for. Before long, that unbothered abandon awakens something deep within Sakurako—a nurturing, protective "big sister" instinct she never knew she possessed. What begins as a chance pairing between two strangers unfolds into a warm, gently comedic tale of shared living, where an ordinary boarding house becomes the stage for an unexpectedly heartwarming bond.
