Summary

Official Details
In 1941, with the clouds of war gathering over Japan, Soutarou Kuramoto returns home after years spent overseas—haunted by a regret he has never been able to set down. At the heart of it lies Haroumi Asuma, his dearest childhood friend, a boy who earned renown for the traditional dances he performed in women's clothing. For young Soutarou, watching Haroumi dance was once his greatest joy. But a heated quarrel between the two drove Soutarou to speak words he could never take back: "I hate the way you dance." Those careless words tore their friendship apart, and the pair drifted onto separate paths—a parting that has weighed on Soutarou's conscience ever since. Now, at long last, he has resolved to do what should have been done years ago: seek Haroumi out and offer the apology he owes. Yet as the nation hurtles toward conflict, the reunion Soutarou has longed for may deliver more than forgiveness. Will it finally grant him the peace he has pursued across the years, or will it pull down the walls he has built around feelings he has hidden for far too long?
