Salt Heart

Stripped of everything that once gave his life meaning, Asel finds himself at rock bottom. Fired from his job at a bar and left without family, connections, or any viable path forward, he drifts through a city that offers him no comfort. Alone in the suffocating silence of his own despair, he has all but surrendered to the hopelessness that defines his days, bracing for an endless fall with nothing left to lose. It is in this void that Jinhyuk steps in—a powerful alpha whose calm authority and unnerving gentleness pierce through Asel’s defenses. Offering not just a hand but a lifeline, Jinhyuk pulls him from the brink with a kindness that feels both dangerous and undeserved. As Asel cautiously accepts this unexpected grace, the fragile bond between them deepens, transforming quiet gestures into an unspoken dependence. Yet, with every moment spent in Jinhyuk’s orbit, the lines between rescue and entrapment begin to blur. What starts as a simple act of charity quickly becomes a treacherous current, pulling Asel further from the edge while tightening invisible chains around his will. The closer they grow, the more impossible it becomes to imagine an exit—because walking away from the man who saved you might be the hardest escape of all.
