The Max Magic Level Great Sage’s Return

In 1970, the mage revered as the Great Sage—Minato Ichikami—stood as humanity's final line of defense against the invading Demon God and its monstrous legions. In a ferocious battle that determined the fate of the world, he emerged victorious, crushing the demonic forces and their god alike. But triumph exacted the ultimate price, and the Great Sage perished soon after, leaving behind the world he had saved at the cost of his own life. Fifty years later, in 2022, Minato awakens once more—this time inside the body of a teenaged student named Minato Kusanagi. The age of legends has long since faded into an era of quiet, ordinary school days, and the half-century of peace has taken its toll: with no great conflicts to confront, magic itself has grown severely weakened. Struggling to find his footing in a modern world unlike anything he once knew, Minato hopes to carve out a fresh life under his new identity. Yet that hard-won tranquility cannot last. The demons begin to resurface, and with them the shadows of an old war. Refusing to let history repeat itself, Minato Kusanagi vows to protect the new life he has been granted and stand against his returning enemies. The Great Sage lives again—and the modern era is about to witness the return of his legend.
