Shi Wen Lun Xian

In a world inhabited by beastmen, Shen Youqing is a struggling chinchilla-girl actress whose career has fallen on hard times. When an audition takes a horrifying turn and the assistant director attempts to assault her, salvation arrives from the most unlikely quarter: Shi Ruolin, the woman Shen Youqing hasn't laid eyes on in years—her first love, her arranged-marriage fiancée, and her sworn enemy all at once. Eager only to slip away, Shen Youqing doesn't even pause to thank her rescuer before Shi Ruolin presents her with a startling proposition. Cornered by desperate circumstances, she swallows her pride and consents to the humiliating arrangement of becoming the pet of the cold-blooded snake, trading her dignity for a substantial sum of money. Yet life at Shi Ruolin's side proves nothing like she anticipated. As the two women spend their days together, long-buried misunderstandings finally come to light and are laid to rest, and old resentment slowly gives way to something far warmer. What began as a cold transaction blossoms into genuine mutual affection, until the former rivals ultimately choose to bind their futures together and share the rest of their lives.
