Hello, Hello and Hello

Every seven days, the world forgets her completely. Friends, strangers, the entire world around her—all of it loses all memory of her existence, leaving one girl trapped in an endless cycle of anonymity and solitude. This is the quiet tragedy at the heart of the story: a girl whom no one can remember for longer than a single week. Then a boy enters her life. Week after week, he meets her as if for the first time, and week after week, the two fall in love all over again. But each time the seven days come to an end, his memories scatter, and every vow he whispered—every promise he swore to keep—fades away along with her. For her, each reunion is both a miracle and a fresh heartbreak; for him, it is a love that never gets the chance to endure. The result is a deeply bittersweet and sentimental romance about memory, loneliness, and devotion that persists even where remembrance cannot. Winner of the Gold Prize at the 24th Dengeki Novel Prize, this poignant tale asks whether a promise can still mean something to someone destined to forget it.
