Naruto, Shikamaru, and Sakura are tasked with a simple mission: returning a lost pet to a nearby village. However, their routine assignment is abruptly interrupted when they are ambushed by troops led by Temujin, a mysterious knight. In the ensuing chaos, the team is separated. Naruto engages Temujin in a fierce duel that ends with both combatants plummeting from a high cliff. Left behind, Shikamaru witnesses the emergence of a colossal moving fortress. Determined to understand the situation, he infiltrates the structure alone, only to confront a terrifying sight within its walls.
