Are You Enemy?

At the heart of this story lies a single, deceptively simple question: are you enemy? It is a question that lingers over every exchange, casting suspicion on even the gentlest of moments. Where one person ends and a threat begins is impossible to determine, and the narrative thrives on that ambiguity, letting warmth and wariness sit side by side until neither can be taken at face value. Framing this tension are two passages of angelic conversation — soft, seemingly innocent exchanges that open and close the tale. Their calm feels almost otherworldly, yet beneath the sweetness the central question keeps whispering: is this kindness genuine, or merely a mask worn by something else entirely? Between those quiet moments, the story erupts into breathless absurdity with a hyper chicken run, a frantic, feather-fueled chase that trades hushed words for pure slapstick momentum. The contrast is the point — tenderness, doubt, and chaos colliding head-on — and by the end, the reader is left weighing the very question the title poses: whether what stands opposite is truly an enemy at all.
