Summary

Official Details

Set in fifteenth-century Poland, an era when holding heretical beliefs could easily send one to the stake, the story follows Rafal, a child prodigy destined to pursue theology—the era’s most prestigious discipline—at university. His path takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a mysterious man, drawing him into the study of a possible “truth” lurking within forbidden ideas. The manga has received widespread acclaim, winning the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize’s Grand Prize (2022), the 54th Seiun Award for Best Comic (2023), and topping BookLive’s Reader’s Choice Top 100 Truly Interesting Manga in 2025.
