Yokai Girls

Nishizuru Yatsuki is the very picture of an average young man. Fresh out of school, he fills his days with the quiet routine of a part-time job and the solitude of a bachelor who has never once had a girlfriend. On the surface, his life is unremarkable in every conceivable way. There is, however, one glaring anomaly: Yatsuki possesses the rare and unsettling ability to perceive yokai—the supernatural spirits that drift unseen through the human world. Rather than confront these ghostly visions, he has long relied on a single, stubborn coping mechanism: ignoring them entirely, pretending the phantoms that haunt his periphery do not exist. That fragile defense crumbles the instant he encounters Rokka, a mysterious and captivating young woman whose arrival shatters his carefully maintained denial. With her appearance, Yatsuki can no longer avert his gaze, and his once-ordinary existence is violently upended. Dragged into a hidden conflict, he finds himself thrust into the unlikely role of sole protector for a group of dangerously alluring supernatural beings. Now, caught between the mundane reality he knows and the seductive, perilous world of yokai, Yatsuki must confront the spirits he spent a lifetime avoiding—and embrace a new life where his greatest responsibility is defending the very creatures he once tried so hard to forget.
