Konomi ja Naka to

When his father suffers a sudden collapse and is hospitalized, Yukinori finds himself thrust into an unexpected role: acting president of the family's welding factory in rural Kyushu. Overwhelmed and completely out of his depth, he steps into a world of roaring machinery and gruff professionalism, carrying the weight of a company he barely understands. Desperate and directionless, he follows his father's parting advice to lean on Maki, the factory's seasoned manager—a man known for his uncompromising dedication and quiet reverence for the craft, even if his perpetually scowling face and brusque demeanor keep most colleagues at arm's length. Despite his intimidating exterior, Maki commands genuine respect on the shop floor, his skill and work ethic earning him the trust of every employee. Yukinori, however, struggles to bridge the gap between himself and this brooding foreman, fumbling through corporate duties while hiding a deeply personal secret. But the fragile equilibrium shatters when Maki inadvertently discovers that Yukinori is gay. What follows is not understanding or indifference, but a raw, aggressive confrontation—Maki pins him down with a provocative, degrading taunt about running away, twisting Yukinori's vulnerability into a weapon. Trapped between his crumbling professional responsibilities and this sudden, violent intrusion into his private life, Yukinori must now navigate a hostile new reality where the one person he was told to trust has become his most dangerous threat.
